Valid points here Corey. I'm no longer on FB - it's gone from my life & I don't miss it. What I find disappointing, is that a lot of clubs - MTB, running etc (that receive membership fees), use FB as the primary method of communication... In my opinion, the use of an email list, or group text messages could be a more effective method for providing updates. The over reliance on FB will be the downfall of businesses in the future, when they decide to censor / delay or filter the audience that receives the updates.
Nobody thought Myspace would die off right..... email isn't going anywhere, every single business needs an email list for sure. As James Schramko always says, "own the racecourse".
