This ONE simple focus will give your business a major Google boost
we've seen it over and over again...
All WE do as an agency, is help businesses get more leads and sales from Google.
For most businesses, there is ONE THING that moves the needle more than anything else.
It’s simply getting more Google Reviews.
That’s it.
Google is all about trust and reputation, and the thing they trust the most is their own review system.
We’ve seen businesses rank their Google Businesss Profile higher just by getting reviews, and we’ve also seen websites rank higher as well!
So, I’ve got 2 ways to help you now with that:
1️⃣ Feel free to comment here on this article, with a link to your business (yes, an interactive article!). I’ll give you some ideas on how to get more reviews.
2️⃣ Below this line is a list of things I’ve seen work for other businesses for getting more reviews, feel free to get some inspiration. At the end of this email there are some services and things that might also help your business stand out on Google:
Just this morning I saw a young car detailer talk about leaving chocolates behind after every job, with a QR code stuck on, that people could scan. Increased their review inflow by around 500%.
Send follow up emails to customers asking for feedback. Include your Google Review link or QR code.
SMS follow up with links for reviews.
Place a QR code for reviews instore, on business cards, on forms that customers use. Place them anywhere.
Install Google Review widgets on your website.
Create a “feedback” page on your website specifically to showcase reviews, and ask for reviews.
Put your Google Review URL in your email signature block.
Every month or quarter, reach out to customer groups asking for feedback about your business.
If you give some free advice from time to time, ask for reviews afterwards.
Ask for reviews and feedback on social media.
Find a way. What do your customers like? Move heaven and earth to dial up your Google Review game, you’ll be glad you did.

Maybe this obsession with getting google reviews can work against businesses too & sometimes even their associates? Surely the focus has to be on getting revenue/keeping the customers & not simply getting reviews? Recently I had a tradie come and look at some work for me. At the end of this visit he asked for a google review even though he hadn't done any work (maybe he thought he'd give me free advice???). This sat badly with me and he didn't get the work, I've told several locals I didn't find his approach ethical AND his lack of ethics has also tainted the reputation of the other tradies he recommended. As to some of the suggestions above I HATE receiving unsolicited comms to post reviews and businesses who do this will lose my business. People need to understand unless they have sought permission these comms are also unlawful in NZ under the spam legislation and can attract enormous fines. My phone number is sacrosanct - if I trust someone with my phone number if they text me for a reason I haven't specifically given my permission for I am going to be one very angry customer.
