Google is ALWAYS changing, and if you are in business, you need to stay on top of the latest info.
Knowing what we know about Google’s changes over the last year, if had no budget, but some time, this is what we’d suggest you do to rank higher, and get more leads into your business:
(okay - there are 6 points, and 1 does involve money, but if you do the first 5, you’ll be fine).
You are going to need to send LOTS of clues to Google about what you do and the problems you solve.
1️⃣ Identify the top 20 or more questions in your industry that people ask online. If you Google “keyword research”, you’ll then be able to find a tool to check out how much search there is for those questions.
2️⃣ Grab a free Publer account so you can save time, and be more effective with your next phase. Article on how to set up Publer HERE.
3️⃣ Get busy answering those questions in a variety of ways. Set up a Google Doc, and write up short answers to those questions. Then, when you have time, consider writing up longer answers too. If you get really keen, consider shooting short YouTube videos to answer them too. Google will love this.
4️⃣ Get posting those bits of content across your 2-3 most important social media accounts. Why not post every day, for as long as you can sustain? You’ve got the content now, putting this into Publer to get across your socials will take no time at all.
5️⃣ Build a Reviews system. Something simple like an automated email to every client, a few days after doing business with them. Give them a link to your Google Reviews, and also Facebook if possible. This TRUST, will help Google send you free traffic. Google is a giant TRUST machine.
6️⃣ Run Google Ads locally. Experienced SEO people like us know that Google DOES reward businesses that run ads, with better Search Engine results too. Yep, controversial!
If you focus on those steps, for at least a month, you’ll be doing better on Google and online generally as well.
