Useful Places to get Reviews online
apart from Google
Getting reviews online is essential for business owners:
If you are in business, you know this. Social proof, SEO, etc etc.
The list below is our suggested places for reviews that aren’t Google.
For our local SEO business, we tell clients that a Google Review is 1 point, and other reviews are a half point.
Of course we just made that up, but it’s how we view it… they all count in “helping you stand out online”.
If you’re in business you’ll know that sometimes, clients / customers can’t or won’t for whatever reason leave a Google review…
So see if you can add 1 or more of these to your feedback emails / forms / etc, as you grow your online presence.

➡️ Facebook Business Page. This link is to our Facebook Business Page review section. Eg facebook dot com / business name / reviews.
We’ve noticed that plenty of people happily leave a Facebook review for a business, when they choose not to or can’t leave a Google Review.
Google Business Profile still recognizes these reviews, and they 100% help your business rank higher on Google.
➡️ TrustPilot. Well regarded, good brand recognition, and with some good widget options etc for your website.
Plenty of international businesses now use Trustpilot as their main review gathering thing.
➡️ Capterra. Mostly used for software businesses.
➡️ Yelp. Highly trusted for all sorts of businesses.
➡️ G2. Another mostly software place for reviews.
➡️ Tripadvisor. If you are in accomodation, hospitality etc, you need to be on Tripadvisor.
You might also have industry specfic review platforms.
Real estate agents for example in most countries have other review platforms.
Our advice is to always have at least TWO places where people can leave reviews, and promote those a lot.
