These things are going to help your “SEO” or “findability” online
AND - you don’t have to make any changes to your actual website.

So, just work through these things, and you’ll find your business showing up more easily on Google, chatGPT searches, other AI searches etc.

Here is the checklist:
☑️ LinkedIn Profiles. Ensure key people in the business have the website URL in their “contact info” on their LinkedIn profiles. Also ensure the business has a LinkedIn company page. Bonus points if you can get those people connecting, commenting, and posting content daily.
☑️ Facebook Business Page with content. Search engines like content from well trusted sites like LinkedIn, Facebook, reddit etc. Ensure your business has a branded Facebook Business Page, with some content specific to your niche. Bonus points if you use the page daily to engage.
☑️ Citations and Directories. Ensure your business is listed on the most important of these, for your niche, and location. How? Just go to chatGPT, and ask for “the 20 most important citations and directories for my business, here is the URL (insert URL), please think about my location and my niche.”
☑️ Competitor Analysis using AHrefs for free. We do this almost daily… we use this URL here: https://ahrefs.com/backlink-checker - and we simply pop in the URL of our clients top competitors, to see what backlinks they have. We then think about whether or not we can match those links, replace them, or beat them. Bit of work but that’s what paid SEO people do.
☑️ Google Business Profile - simply make sure it’s up to date, has all the right categories, and recent reviews.
☑️ Twitter / Pinterest / Instagram / YouTube - create branded profiles with links to your main URL. Use them if you see fit, but at least create the accounts.
☑️ Do a Google Search for your business niche, and focus on the “forums” tab up the top of Google Search. You’ll see for example reddit posts. See if you can answer some questions and work your business name (not url), into the conversation.
☑️ Shout out your own business, on your own socials. Yep, just shout it out loud! You’ll be amazed at how helpful this can be even in this day and age.
